The story behind Eirene & Eudaimon.
Hey you! So stoked to see you here!Seriously!

I'm Em,

I'd like to think I'm a good egg.
I do also have a handful of diagnosis', BPD/EUPD, Inattentive ADHD as well as FND.

Hold up Em... Why would you start with such strong information about yourself? Especially when we know not everyone is pro-diagnosis.
I share for awareness and to hopefully show others going through the same or similar fights, that they (you) are not alone nor do you need to feel it has to kept quiet all the time.

I have found that these 'labels' have allowed me to understand the difficulties in processing and dealing with everyday life (ADHD, FND) but ultimately enabling me to tap closer into the links of happiness life can offer (Hella positive of BPD, sometimes call it my superpower...)

I like to think it's a mutual agreement that there are times in life that give us big chunks of good feeling, meaning to life, happiness or comfort.

It sounds cliche AF, but we need to keep hold of the slippery buggers that provide these kinds of clarity and peace.

When deciding on what to call this blog, I wanted to encapsulate this feeling.

The name 'Eirene' is of the Greek Goddess of Peace.

Eudaimon/Eudaimonia is Greek for good spirit/happiness or welfare. Closer translations have been proposed to be 'human flourishing, prosperity and blessedness'.

Throughout my spouts of flare ups and MH peaks and troughs, I have noted to cherish those moments of good spirit and use them to our absolute advantage if we can. Either for ourselves or the good people around us.

So why don't we try and put everything of the above together?!

And so I welcome you to Eirene & Eudaimon.
I hope you stay a while and maybe find something that brings a smile xx
